A Special Day for Sleep

I was just taking a nap.

It’s important to get enough sleep.

睡飽覺很重要喔

A lot of people don’t get enough sleep.

很多人睡眠不足。

1.Sleep is so important that it has

its own special day.

Every March, there is a day called World

Sleep Day. This year,

World Sleep Day happens on March 13.

三月13號是世界睡覺日

They have events and give speeches about the importance of sleep.

They try to make people understand just how important sleep is.

Let’s talk about how sleep can help you.

我們來聊聊睡覺有那些好處?

First, it can help your heart.

第一, 強健你的心臟。

Sleep helps you have a stronger heart.

It lowers the chances of you getting heart disease.

Wow! That’s a good reason to get lots of sleep.


Second, getting enough sleep can make you happier.

第二,睡夠會讓你快樂一點喔!

So, if you are feeling a bit sad, get more sleep!

2.Third, people who don’t get

enough sleep are more likely to

get fat.

第三,睡眠不足會變胖!

Another good reason to get enough sleep: it helps you think better.

腦筋會清楚一點。

You probably know that already, right?

It’s really hard to think quickly when you are tired.

3.So, if you want to learn more

and get good scores on your tests,

 

get enough sleep.


How much is enough sleep?

Most people need about eight hours each night.

Don’t go to bed too late.

Try to go to bed at the same time each night as well.

不要太晚睡,睡覺間也要固定

That will help you fall asleep more quickly.

Exercise helps, too.

運動也能幫助你快點進入夢鄉。

But don’t exercise too close to your bedtime.
