接著,大家分組來試水力船,浮力的部分可以靠空保特瓶來支撐。禕宥組想到三角形的造型設計,用3個細吸管排水,船尾再用粗吸管增加浮力,最有創意。岳亨儒組動作很快,想到直立式的設計,用2根粗吸管排水,船速最快。一灝淮瑋組用水平式的設計,再用吸管架橋增加浮力,造出了一艘最穩固的船。讓孩子體驗水的高低差轉化成「水力船」前進的動力,利用排水時的反作用力讓船前進。
阿成師給各組一個任務,讓寶特瓶在無提供額外動力的情況下,瓶子從蓄水缸的一端移動到另一端。每個孩子在黑板上畫自己的創意想法,接著實際動手操作一次。孩子們有人利用磁鐵吸力與斥力,有人想到用氣球,還有人用肥皂的表面張力,真的都很不錯,將阿成師教過的知識活用。
