The Importance of Washing Hands

Oh, hi! How are you feeling today?

If you’re feeling healthy, that’s good.

Ifnot, I hope you feel better soon!

1.If you watch the news,

you can see a lot of people

are getting sick lately …

2.I’m sure you have heard of

this new virus

everyone is afraid of.

It is called COVID-19,

and it is infecting a lot of people!

Anyone can catch this virus.

But there is something

we can all do to protect ourselves.

Do you know how to

wash your hands properly? (SFX: tap)

You can’t just putwater on your hands!

That is not washing your hands properly.

If you want to kill this virus, you need to learn how to really wash your
hands.

and get your hands soapy … I mean

really soapy! Not just a little! A lot.

You should rub your hands together

for a long time. How long?

Well, you can sing “Happy Birthday”

twice, then rub your hands with soap

for as long as you’re singing.

Don’t forget the backs of your

hands,

between yourfingers, and under

your

nails too!

Number three:

Rinse all the soap off your hands with clean water.

Number four:

Dry your hands with a clean towel or hand dryer.
